Rhythmic Rain...

Go Barino!

I just saw the American Idol Home For Christmas concert on star world. Oh my God! What voices those three have!

Most people find it really funny that Fantasia cries every time she sings a moving song. I think it is amazing. Even during the competition…she was so into it! She was literally in tears after “Sunrise”. That song is so difficult! Especially if you want to do it right. And boy did she. She is an amazing singer! I think the singer whose songs are easiest to butcher is Whitney Houston. To sing her songs, you either have the voice, or you don’t. You can’t just sing her song ‘adequately’. It doesn’t work that way. But Fantasia…wow! She sang Whitney Houston’s ‘Believe’ and added her own little bits…and it didn’t sound bad at all! Jasmine on the other hand…yeesh! Don’t attempt songs you can’t handle!

That kind of talent is hard to come across! At anything! Like Bijoyini di’s dance, (If you’ve read my blog before, you’d know how in awe of her I am…) Sucheta’s art, Rati’s writing, Aveek’s poetry, Deepthi’s ability to solve ANY math problem…
And these are just people I KNOW!
There is no dearth of talent! It is just really hard to find it!

Er...anonymous person? (I don't know whether I know you or not)

While personally I loathe crying - for anything - each to their own, and sometimes you can get involved in something to the point of crying over it. This hasn't happened to me, but it has to others I know, and it's not pathetic, pointless, or attention-seeking at all. At least, not always - it can be, as can anything.

But that's moot. The point is - insulting Meghna on her blog isn't going to get your point across. It just makes you sound very immature, almost on a level with the squeeing Legolas fangurls of Doom. Please, please, mind your manners.

(Of course, if this is someone that I know playing a joke - ha, ha, very funny. I'm amused. See?)

About the post - well, Meghna, I must further prove my utter dorkiness by saying that I have never seen American Idol. Another of those things where I go 'Okay, whatever your opinion on ___ is', and get back to my Tolkien - which I will now proceed to do, stopping only to mutter a polite disclaimer and blush bright pink at your compliments: I took three hours for that incentre one!

(Or was it an orthocentre? I can never remember those things...)

    Yo Anonymous...
No...crying when I sing is not something i would attempt. I'm not capable of doing it. I can, however, praise those who can put so much heart and soul into what they do.
As for you...I think the fact that you couldn't sign off who you really are really says it all.

    Deepthi...you're welcome...just stating the DUH!! lol~

Er, Mr./Ms./(Whatever else you may be) Anonymous, posting a comment like that sounds like a pointless, pathetic and a desperate attempt for attention -
just like something you would seem to be attempting.
Are you saying that there is nothing on this planet that would move you to tears? If that is the case, I would say that you have no life, no fun, no friends and no family. Basically, you sound like some loner loser kid who doesn't trust (and hence listen) to anyone, and does whatever he/she/it(?) wants. Why don't you make a few friends, or read something, and find something to do?
Going surfing, writing garbage on other peoples blogs, not identifying yourself... hmmm you do sound insecure. Maybe you should go do some work for the Red Cross, or look inside yourself and see if there's anything that interests you. Once you find it, try and be the best you can at it, and once you are, tell me that you feel nothing. If you honestly still believe tht you have no emotional attachments to whatever it is, go visit a therapist. Till then, try and open your senses to reality.
People cry out of sadness, misery, or personal loss so that they get attention and share the feeling with someone else. It is a human self-defence system aginst emotional stress. They cry of over-happiness (for lack of a better way to put it) for the same reason, to share the feeling so that they do not have an emotional overload. Don't yu read? Or is that in your 'esteemed' opinion just another pathetic attempt at siolating yourself from the world to get personalised attention?

Meghna - (my turn... ooooh, thank you! :-P)talent is all around, and is the last thing that should be hard to find. It is normally just beneath our noses, and we fail to recognise it, feeling that to elevate a known person to 'talented' status would bring about a bit of jelousy. Unless, of course, someone else thinks so too.
P.S. all human-behavior observations are from Desmond Morris - 'ManWatching'

oooh forgive me for being so immature...
i cry with the insults you hammer down at me (see, somethings DO move me to tears!)
pity it is the fact that you bloggers are so sad and have nothing else to do that makes me cry!

i think you people need this little thing you may not have heard of, called SOCIAL LIVES!
or maybe the toll of the prelims and exams blah blah boards is too much! forgive me, but ive gone through all that, and i dont have to hide in my little miserable domain nameserver hosted html pages called BLOGS to cry out my anguish! oh boo hoo.

and yes, i am immature, and im proud of it. too bad if that admission makes you cry. well, boo hoo again. (well you are the one that cries so much...)

and deepthi calling yourself a geek is an insult to all of geekhood, and I as a proud geek want you to take back that comment. if you want that status, please show me proof of a 101% correct math paper, or a 1000line program, (100line if its assembly language will do adequately:)

or you could just write the scripts for your blog YOURSELF, and not use some pretty blogspot.com website that does all the coding for you!

geek my foot... lord of the rings quotes do not a geek make.

anyway that was all extremely pointless to the point i was trying to make.

if aveeks poetry moves you to tears, i am moved to tears by the fact that there could be people as sad as you!

and no, i am not hiding behind the veil of 'anonymous quotes'
its quite obvious who i am, but if you are too busy sniffing to figure it out, i cant help you there...

Forgive me for not recognising you...I don't waste my time thinking about things that are not worth it.

I like to write. I have a blog so I can write when I feel like...about what I feel like. Notice the pattern?
I can't believe that you think I need a social life. I'm engaging myself in my own thing, I'm not bothering you by doing so am I? YOU, on the other hand, get up at 8am, to go to someone ELSE'S blog...and post long insulting comments. Now, WHO needs a life here?

Another thing; This blog is here for me to write on, and for me to have conversations with my friends. Since you OBVIOUSLY don't classify, seeing as 'Anonymous' is the only name you are going to have...I would really like you to move your sorry-commenting-ass to a different blog...where people don't mind your close-minded approach to eveything.

As far as Deepthi's 'geekiness' and Aveek's poetry is concerned...
    1. I wouldn't challenge Deepthi to math if i were you. Yes...you may be brilliant at math, but it isn't very difficult for her to get 101% in math either...
    2. I never said anywhere that anything led ME to tears...Aveek's poetry among other things are examples of talent. Not things that lead me to tears.
So either read properly and then comment...or DON'T

Or better still...find an audience that gives a damn about your opinions.

Whine, whine, whine, whine. My, you are a pathetic little bloke, aren't you?

There's a simple reason to use Blogspot. It's called 'convenience'. Have you heard of it?
I could, perhaps, go and buy myself a domain name and plenty of web-space, just to prove to some anonymously commenting idiot that I'm capable of writing PHP scripts and make myself a blog. However, have you considered that I might not be able to afford it? Money doesn't grow on trees in my house, and we do have to work to earn it. Why should I waste it, then, if I can get a blog free? Granted, it might not be the most beautiful or technologically-advanced page in the world, but it's enough for my purpose - viz. posting whatever the hell I want. It just happens to be my life.

As for math papers, I will gladly show them to you any time, if you will show me proof that you have written a 3000-line or more epic poem in iambic pentameter, which I have in fact done - along with the 1000-line-plus program. I do hope that JAVA is good enough for your most esteemed, worthy and respected self. If it isn't - well, frankly, I don't give an earthly.

As for the others - I'm quite sure Meghna, in fact, has a social life. That is why she doesn't waste her time flaming other people anonymously.

Oh, yes, it is quite obvious who you are. I know very few people who do not capitalise while they're commenting. Arjun, is that you?

Well, Arjun, I think that you gonna have to battle this one out with Deepthi. She seems to clearly have the advantage with what most would call - sense. I dunno bout you and your pathetic attempts to cover yourself in glory with your 20,000 line code or your claims to No. 1 geek (which I'm sure you'll never be - take that as whatevefr you want... compliment or insult).
As for Social Life, personally, I think anyone who is more excited bout a LAN party than actuaqlly MEETING and SOCIALIZING with people, and I do NOT mean screaming out orders or battleplan moves, I don't think that you are 'qualified' to comment on that particular issue.
And bout writing scripts yourself, whre's your own site that you've been ranting bout for, lets see, 3 months now? Are you still writing your magnificent code? I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you. Please go on, dear loser, and write your pathetic code that will just lose itself on the net. No one is gonna marvel at your genius for creating your own site. Why? Cause no one cares to look at some wanna-be-everything-but-cant-be-anything-except-some-tech-geek-at-IBM. There are quite a few people who do that. Sadly for you, you cannot be unique and achive fame this way either.
    Try again.

    >Forgive me for not recognising you...I don't waste my >time thinking about things that are not worth it.
sorry, but you made a comment as to wondering about my identity.
    >I like to write. I have a blog so I can write when I >feel like...about what I feel like. Notice the pattern?
absolutely. Jobless person + Free site hosting = blog

    >can't believe that you think I need a social life. >I'm engaging myself in my own thing, I'm not >bothering you by doing so am I?
you choose to put your writings up freely available on the net. if you elect to have it visible to all, youre going to get criticism. face it. if you dont like it, why dont you complain to the guy who runs the world from up above?

    >YOU, on the other hand, get up at 8am, to go to someone ELSE'S blog...and post long insulting comments.
my main surfing time happens to be after my morning exercise and breakfast. if that affects you so badly maybe i can change my holiday schedule. (or lack of it)

    >Now, WHO needs a life here?
as far as i can see, its still you...

    >Another thing; This blog is here for me to write on, >and for me to have conversations with my friends.
your conversations are public. if you want private conversations hosted in a public area you cant complain.

    >Since you OBVIOUSLY don't classify, seeing as >'Anonymous' is the only name you are going to >have...
thats surprising... i wonder if anyone classifies as your friend...

    >I would really like you to move your >sorry-commenting-ass to a different blog...where >people don't mind your close-minded approach to >eveything.
oh-dearie-me, im so sorry for troubling you, im going to whimper in my corner.

    >As far as Deepthi's 'geekiness' and Aveek's poetry is >concerned...
    >1. I wouldn't challenge Deepthi to math if i were >you. Yes...you may be brilliant at math, but it isn't >very difficult for her to get 101% in math either...
i never claimed to have achieved such levels. i merely know friends of mine who have, and they are the true nerds, not some wannabe like deepthi.

    >2. I never said anywhere that anything led ME to >tears...Aveek's poetry among other things are >examples of talent. Not things that lead me to tears.
ok i accept. however your point in your blog was a little ambiguous.

    >So either read properly and then comment...or DON'T
if people followed your rule above, then aveeks blog would mostly be empty, alond with 97.6% of most websites on the internet.

    >Or better still...find an audience that gives a damn >about your opinions.
i concede. such an audience doesnt exist :)

    >Whine, whine, whine, whine. My, you are a pathetic >little bloke, aren't you?
ouch. what a cracking opening line. my im scared

    >There's a simple reason to use Blogspot. It's called >'convenience'. Have you heard of it?
    apparently not.

    >I could, perhaps, go and buy myself a domain name and >plenty of web-space, just to prove to some >anonymously commenting idiot that I'm capable of >writing PHP scripts and make myself a blog. However, >have you considered that I might not be able to >afford it?
i never said you had to. but if you were a geek you would. my argument was just proof that you are not a nerd.

    >Money doesn't grow on trees in my house,
wow, what a surprise! it doesnt in mine either! what a coincidence!!!

    >and we do have to work to earn it.
really? as far as i know thats how its been for the past 10000 years. maybe we should get you a nobel as proof of your incredible intellect.

    >Why should I waste it, then, if I can get a blog >free? Granted, it might not be the most beautiful or >technologically-advanced page in the world, but it's >enough for my purpose - viz. posting whatever the >hell I want.
well if your going to use public domain equip, then you certainly shouldnt complain when random 'anonymous' people come around and insult the hell out of you.

    >It just happens to be my life.
or rather, the lack of it.

    >As for math papers, I will gladly show them to you >any time,
forgive me, but i hope you understand if i elect not to.

    >if you will show me proof that you have
    >written a 3000-line or more epic poem in iambic >pentameter,
    thats not geeky, merely jobless.

    >which I have in fact done - along with
    >the 1000-line-plus program. I do hope that JAVA is >good enough for your most esteemed, worthy and >respected self.
actually it isnt, I would prefer PHP scripts.

    >If it isn't - well, frankly, I don't give an earthly.
'give an earthly'? what kind of expression is that. if youre trying to sound intellectual you just gave it all away at that line.

    >As for the others - I'm quite sure Meghna, in fact, >has a social life.
considering that you all spend your time writing blogs all through the year, i would wonder if that was true.

    >That is why she doesn't waste her
    >time flaming other people anonymously.
well considering that i just gave a total of 3 posts, whereas you have close to 100...

    >Oh, yes, it is quite obvious who you are.
    woohoo, *clap*

    >I know very few people who do not capitalise while >they're commenting.
oh dearie me, what a clue. considering you missed the other half a million to my identity.

    > Arjun, is that you?
    no shit, sherlock!

    >no its not. its a sodding crocodile.
    that was not my post!

    >Well, Arjun, I think that you gonna have to battle >this one out with Deepthi.
nice admission to the fact that out of you three she is the only one with any IQ.

    >She seems to clearly have the advantage with what >most would call - sense. I dunno bout you and your >pathetic attempts to cover yourself in glory with >your 20,000 line code or your claims to No. 1 geek
ever heard of sarcasm? a geek is not a glorious state, its a pathetic one. i suggest you look sarcasm up in the dictionary

    >(which I'm sure you'll never be - take that as >whatevefr you want... compliment or insult).
i hope my previous line clarifies it for your little mind.

    >As for Social Life, personally, I think anyone who is >more excited bout a LAN party than actuaqlly MEETING >and SOCIALIZING with people, and I do NOT mean >screaming out orders or battleplan moves, I don't >think that you are 'qualified' to comment on that >particular issue.

well well, yes i do attend LAN parties, but i also attend normal ones! more that what can be said for you.
i think you need more insight into my life at muwci before you can claim that i lack a social life. whatever was true of my life at nafl, is far from what my life is at muwci.

    >And bout writing scripts yourself, whre's your own >site that you've been ranting bout for, lets see, 3 >months now? Are you still writing your magnificent >code? I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you.
id rather not show you. why should i link you to my commercial endeavours?
thanks for your extreme kindness. how touching. considering that comes from a neo-nazi athiest like you.

    >Please go on, dear loser, and write your pathetic >code that will just lose itself on the net.
i am content with that. im not a glory hunter such as you. after all, you supprt manyoo.

    >No one is gonna marvel at your genius for creating >your own site.
is that your dream. have everybody marvel at your 'genius'? what a lovely, selfless dream. and my objective is not to be some great demigod, im quite content with what i have now. and i wasnt indirectly referencing to my apparent 'greatness'. i was merely pointing out the argument that deepthi is a geek.

    >Why? Cause no one cares to look at some >wanna-be-everything-but-cant-be-anything-except-some-tech-geek-at-IBM. >There are quite a few people who do that. Sadly for >you, you cannot be unique and achive fame this way >either.
my ambition as ive stated far too many times before is not to 'achieve fame' but to be quite happy and content with my life.

    >Try again.
sadly, you probably wont get the point.

jeez, this is getting easy. maybe i should get back to having my arguments with sarisha. atleast she can argue a point well...

just an added note, if you are all actually getting offended, this is all just in jest.

Look Arjun...I don't know what your problem is.
I like to blog...so sue me.
I have never exchanged more than three words with you so I don't see why you are annoying me like this. This was never a debate or an argument to begin with. It's more like you just saying anything against what I have to say for the sake of it.
Just get off my blog all right? I CAN block Anonymous commenting, I choose not to.
Stop 'jesting'. Whatever you say...you have an increadible talent of being insulting.
Alot of people qualify as my friends...I don't need to justify it to you.
    Honestly...get a life...let me lead mine...and stop posting here.

I cant believe that you wrote so much!! You really are a classic example of someone who suffers from utter boredom because hes got no friends, and survives on LAN perties and challenging people to AOM cause there's nothin else that he's good at.

I'm not even gonna bother pitying you.

P.S. I really don't need to post anon. Is this just another pathetic attempt to make people believe that you didn't really write such a farty line? Cause I know that you're quite capable of it.
